Hugs4Heroes

My initial thought was just to have my penpals and friends make cards and notes to send to the troops in Iraq and Afganistan. But then, their families and friends are getting involved. My idea was to include thank you notes with a note from myself with this link and continue to include the notes as my neighbor (Mr. K.) continues to support the troops by sending care packages.

Instructions and Info

Here is info on my Troop Cards Project:
This will not cost you anything!

Our 4-H club is collecting donations and having people sign a sheet to send to Iraq to help and support the troops in Iraq. (The US troops!)

So, the question is, would you like to support the troops for free? If so, you have options. I am collecting letters to add to the boxes. You can write a note by hand thanking them or just a letter. Those with younger siblings or children, if you would like to add a drawing that would be great.

Even if you do not support the war, we need to support the men and women protecting our country.

You can either send me an email with your note as an attachment or you can snail mail other things etc. Whatever you want.

You can add your email address, name, age, etc. The soldiers that have mail and email access may write back.

It would be great to have these items by October 31st.

Don’t feel obligated, but if you would like to add a check or small money donation to the “Project Santa” care packages, feel free to send it along with your letters. If you would like a receipt, let me know, and we get you one.

If you have any more questions or would like to have something explained further, please let me know! THANKS! I just have a small favor to ask you. Please do not ask my parents or anyone in our 4-H club, for I would like to surprise them with the letters. Thank you!
